What are Mudras? Sanskrit for seal, hand mudras are hand gestures used in meditation and yoga. Each mudra has its own qualities to benefit the practioner.
Partnering with the women-focus social enterprise The Nail Social, Moody Nails is an empowering coffee table book that features Insta-worthy nail art.

“Your nails are your jewels not your tools.” My mother often said this to me as I was growing up. After learning about mudras and wanting to create wellbeing products for girls and women, I thought – why can’t they be both? – Sinnead Ali

Sinnead is a Yoga Teacher, Meditation Guide, Mental Health and Womens Wellness advocate. Originally from Cardiff, UK, Sinnead blossomed in a beauty-focused environment with her mother – a self-made salon owner. Sinnead learned from a young age that to pamper yourself is not an act of vanity or pride, but rather a form of self-love and expression. Teaching yoga has taken Sinnead to live in several different cities around the world and she currently resides in Singapore where she hosts regular Women’s Circles and co-founded SPARK Fest, Asia’s 1st sexual wellness festival. Throughout all of this, Sinnead has lived with mental-health issues both directly, and in her personal-sphere. A cheerleader of women, Sinnead is passionate about promoting the importance of mental and emotional health of young women and girls.

Moody Nails: The Mudra Guidebook has been created as a handy guide for women and girls who want to build emotional and mental resilience with meditation. Set intention with your meditation practise using hand mudras and copy the on-trend nail art at home. Celebrate self care, self-love and pampering with Moody Nails! All nail art was designed by The Nail Social in Singapore. The Nail Social are a social enterprise who train and employ underserved women in the area, giving them new skills and economic stability. Using the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, Sinnead hopes to raise funds to cover the cost of designing and printing 500 limited edition books that will be available in peach and mustard hardback.
